As the Grip-N-Sert is installed, the knurled body expands 360° FILLING THE HOLE. This feature provides exceptional torque strength and vibration resistance.

The installation tool then continues to exert a torque load on the insert forming a backside flange even in multiple or variable thickness materials - WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT.

GRIP-N-SERT TOOL

INSTALLATION: l With tool handles in full open position, thread insert fully onto mandrel head side first. l Place into the hole in your parent material. l Squeeze tool handles together until the insert collapses. l Unscrew the mandrel puller knob.

GRIP-N-SERTS A blind threaded insert with a large head for applications where large or irregular holes are a problem. Insert works in sheet metal, structural foam, fiberglass and some plastics. The axial knurl is first forced into the parent material and then upset over the backside to engage the knurl into the parent material providing very high resistance to spinning, the “bubble” of material over the backside provides very high pull-out loads.

l Useable in oversize and irregular holes. l High torque-out values-ribbed flange resists spinning due to cross threading or overtightening. l High pull-out values - very hard to pull through material due to the “bubble” on the backside. l Wide grip range - one length does the job of numerous other inserts.

l Blind installation - no access to backside required. l Nearly flush. l Install after surface finish - tool will not mar parent material. l Designed to be used with grade 5 or metric 8.8. l Steel - zinc/yellow dichromate plated.
