THREADED INSERTS - RIVET-NUTS

RIVET-NUT BLIND THREADED RIVETS

l Perfect for use in light-gauge materials of metal, plastic and rigid composition. Material previously too thin to tap threads can now be accommodated. l A Rivet-Nut is a tubular rivet with internal threads. It can be installed from one side in seconds. Once a Rivet-Nut is installed, it is ready to use with clean threads available for screw attachments. Used for materials .010 through .125 in. thickness. l The Rivet-Nut Insta-Threads are available in standard heads, which are surface mounted and extend slightly above the material in which they are installed. Also available are the expander heads (small flathead), which may be used for flush or 120° countersunk installations or wherever a smaller head may be required. PROPER TOOL SELECTION l Both Rivet-Nut tool, H.D. Clinch-Nuts and light duty installation tools will install all threaded inserts, Clinch-Nuts or Rivet-Nuts. However, due to the design of each type of threaded insert, we recommend that the Clinch-Nut tool or light duty tool be used for Clinch-Nut installation and that the Rivet-Nut tool be used for Rivet-Nut Insta-Thread installations.
