SURFACE PREPARATION DISCS Surface Preparation Discs are ideally suited for pre-paint finishing, removing rust, oxidation, and flashings and removing gasket residue from engine blocks, heads, valve covers and transmission housings.

Best for sharp contours, angles and edges. Discs have hard nylon threaded fasteners anchored in nylon web. Twist-Locks interchange with 3M Roloc™ discs.

• Premium grade made with ceramic-coated grain to provide added durability, cut rate and extended service life vs. standard (economy) grade. • Cushioned-type construction provides excellent conformability, consistent cut rate and uniform finish. • Made with a flexible matrix of woven nylon filaments with abrasive particles of grain. • Reinforced scrim backing incapable of tearing, even when snagged. • Excellent for non-stock removal applications such as cleaning, blending and finishing. • Effectively used on most every type of material. • Popular “male” fastening system allows for fast & easy disc engagement.

APPLICATIONS • Remove gasket residue from: engine blocks, heads, valve covers and transmission housings. • Pre-paint finishing of automotive metals. • Remove or blend out parting lines. • Remove rust, corrosion, oxidation & flashing.

• Blend-out coated abrasive scratches. • Surface polishing and refinement. • Impart a satin finish on extruded aluminum.
