Applications: Oil, air, water, and lubrication systems. Advantages: Easy to assemble. No flaring required. Disadvantages: Limited selection of sizes and shapes. Difficult to disassemble and reassemble. Pressure: 500 PSI for 1/4’’ and 1/8’’. 250 PSI for 5/16’’ and 3/8’’.

Used with: Copper, Aluminum and Nylon. Assembly Notes: 1. Lubricate threads. 2. Tighten 1-1/2 turns past hand tight. Identifying characteristics: Similar in appearance to the inverted flare fitting, but with a thinner nut. External thread on nut. Also known as DOUBLE COMPRESSION fittings.

GM COOLER REPAIR FITTINGS

l Eliminates costly oil cool replacement in GM radiators. l Fittings engage the damaged or stripped threads in the cool connection, located in the radiators lower or side tank, and is soldered into place.

l After the repair to the connection, the original tubing and inverted flare nut are used for connection.
